Holland Christian Home Receives Generous Donation from Atlantic Stewardship Bank

This spring the Holland Christian Home was pleased to once again be the recipient of a generous donation from Atlantic Stewardship Bank. Through its unique Tithing Program the bank shares 10% of its pre-tax income each year with Christian and local nonprofit organizations in the community. The Holland Christian Home, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in North Haledon, has been caring for seniors aged 75 and older for the past 120 years. The donation will be put to use in the Home’s Spirit of Progress Campaign, a building and renovation project.

The Spirit of Progress

“CARE” is a word with wide meaning. At the Holland Christian Home, it means providing our residents with the best physical, emotional and spiritual health possible at every stage of life. To this end, we invite you to support The Spirit of Progress, a special building project that will substantially improve the care of our residents.  The Spirit of Progress will focus primarily on the enhancement of Mountain View, our 52 bed skilled nursing unit.  This will include the transformation of double rooms into private rooms, as well as the addition of new space.  Our goals are to better accommodate our current residents who find themselves in need of skilled nursing care, and to provide a special unit for residents with more significant memory impairments.

The funds required to support this project will be substantial.  We especially need your help in reaching our goal.  We present you with a challenge today:  Will you consider becoming a partner in this major upgrade at the Holland Christian Home, as we seek to provide the best for our residents?  As always, if we can be of service to you, or answer any questions about The Spirit of Progress Campaign, please call Richard Kuiken, Foundation Director at 973-427-4087 or email us at  The Holland Christian Home is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit-corporation, so all gifts to the Home are tax deductible.
